Conflict of Interest Management

Komainu MEA FZE (“KMEA”) believes the best way to build and to maintain trust is to conduct every element of our business according to the highest standards of integrity.

Where potential conflicts of interest arise in the conduct of its business or in the provision of its services, KMEA has implemented internal policies and procedures for the identification and management or resolution (as applicable) of any actual or potential conflicts of interests.

KMEA is aware that certain potential conflicts of interest may arise from its business activities, which may be from any one or a combination of the following:

  • KMEA and customer relationships
  • KMEA and other third party service providers
  • Employee interests which potentially compete with KMEA products or services
  • Potentially competing interests between two or more customers

KMEA utilises various principles, procedures and measures that are designed to ensure that the services provided, or activities conducted are carried out with an appropriate degree of independence to protect the interests of our clients.

These principles, procedures and measures to prevent and manage conflicts of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • clear division of responsibilities with segregation of decision-making duties, including in relation to management of third party relationships
  • a conflicts register
  • providing training to employees in relation to conflicts of interest to create awareness and foster a culture of integrity
  • requirements on our employees to identify, disclose and monitor conflicts
  • risk and compliance committee oversight
  • on-going compliance monitoring

Where it is not possible to avoid or resolve the conflict, KMEA will disclose such conflicts in a clear and direct manner, so that it can be understood by any affected client, particularly in respect of the risks of potential conflict to the client’s interests.

KMEA does not have accounts, funds or virtual assets maintained by a third party.
