Key Features

Hardwear Security Model

HSM is security based on a dual chip architecture and firmware integrity guaranteed by cryptographic attestation.

Hosted in secure clusters of data centres in several geographical locations with transaction authorisation certificates stored on CC EAL5+ air-gapped devices.

Multi Party Computation

MPC with hardware isolation to create a multi-layer security technology, eliminating a single point of failure and insulating digital assets from cyber-attacks, internal collusion, and human error.

MPC Technology offers both hot/warm and offline air gapped wallets. Offline wallets utilise bidirectional QR code scanning to provide offline signing of transactions.

Asset and Disaster Recovery

At Komainu, business continuity and asset recovery are core to our operational resilience.

We have rigorously defined and tested Business Continuity Planning (BCP) procedures to mitigate risks associated with wallet technology failures or provider disruptions. Our infrastructure includes active wallets across multiple providers, supporting both MPC and HSM technologies. In the event of a provider failure, assets can be securely recovered to pre-activated wallets within the same jurisdiction, fully managed by Komainu. Our recovery processes are regularly tested, independently audited, and supported by secure off-site storage of seed materials in multiple, geographically-remote bullion vaults – ensuring full control without reliance on third-party vendors.
